Fall is my favourite time of the year. All of the warm colours, crisp air, the sound of walking on fallen leaves, and outdoor activities. Its definitely Virginia’s best season. B and I decided to take Presley with us to Hartland Orchard to enjoy the perfect weather, have a picnic and do some apple picking. Keep reading to see what we got into!
Hartland Orchard (3064 Hartland Ln, Markham, VA 22643) is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. There are tons of different orchards in the area, but this one seemed to be the most Dog Friendly of the bunch.
Presley was so happy to be going for a ride in the ‘Adventure Box’ (the car). He knows that putting his bandana on means he’s going on an adventure. That donut was wagging so much despite the look on his face in this photo.
After an entire day of exploring the orchard, Pres was clearly ready for a nap, which he did the entire ride home. In the end, we came home with nearly 2 bushels of apples, an entire case of unpasturized apple cider, a jar of honey and a very sleepy pug. I’d say it was a success.

Cute face, smile, and hairstyle. I also like the boots you’re wearing.
