Welcome to July! We’ve made it to the middle of the year and this summer weather we’ve been having here is definitely making sure we don’t forget that 🙂 As a new practice, I’m dropping the number dates at the beginning of my outfit post titles and will be posting a little bit more of a variety of things in the upcoming days (so keep a look out for those!). In the meantime, I’m sure a lot of you are gearing up for the holiday weekend. Keep reading to check out more photos of this look and some shopping ideas inspired by it!
I’ve been in love with a lot of 70s fashion lately. From bell-bottoms, flared pants, colourful prints, oversized hats and accessories, floaty fabrics and comfortable pieces. I don’t have much of a 70s wardrobe but these past few days I’ve definitely been finding different ways to pair stuff accordingly. I can thank my mom for being a flower-child in her younger years and my secret love for boho everything.
Today was no exception! When selecting pieces for today’s outfit, I went straight for floaty, loose-fitting, lightweight fabrics. This tan silk dolman sleeved button up (long description haha) was the perfect start to building my outfit.
Ever since cutting my paisley dress from H&M into a skirt, I’ve been able to get way more use out of it. Luckily the waist is elastic and the back is zippered so it was a super quick alteration.
Espadrilles and a floppy hat were definitely ‘in’ during the styling process. Even though its a little warm for it, I threw on my denim vest, although I’m pretty sure it won’t last long while I’m outside.
To finish the look off, I added my brown leather Anthropologie belt (From the lovely vintage store, The Nebula Shop ) to create a break between the top and skirt.
And of course, today I decided to rock the minimal makeup (its becoming more of an every day thing now, although I’m considering busting out some bright lipstick eventually) wearing the products I featured in THIS post. With the heat and humidity, I couldn’t even bring myself to use my hairdryer (blech) so the natural curls came out as well!
Here’s a full list of what I’m wearing:
- Floppy hat – H&M
- Denim Vest – Mossimo
- Silk Dolman Button Up Shirt – TJMaxx
- Leather Belt – Anthropologie (The Nebula Shop)
- Paisley Skirt – H&M
- Brown Espadrilles – Mossimo

This shirt looks very nice. Adding this denim vest and that paisley skirt offer great levels of chic. Great-looking wedge sandals. Your smile and hairstyle are cute, and this is a cool hat. Keep up the fine work with your outfits and your blog posts.
