This spring has been quite the colour palette turn for me. Typical me spends her styling time figuring out how much black and burgundy I’ll be wearing, but lately I’ve been trying to find ways to incorporate lighter shades and textures into my looks. Keep reading to see more photos of this outfit as well as the shopping ideas I’ve put together for you that were inspired by this look 🙂
When I bought these boots, I really didn’t think I’d have much to wear them with… fast-forward to today, I was clearly wrong. More and more each day I’ve been learning to love more earthy tones and I have to say, I love it!
I found these boots on a random Target shopping trip for usual household items. At first I thought they were just silly but after trying them on, they went straight into my cart and off I went.
This dress was also a wonderful Target find. It was a little sad looking on the hanger but turned out to be a great buy. I think this was priced at just $29.99 which made the deal even better!
I love maxi dresses and skirts, but sometimes the hi-lo trend is such a genius thing. Not having to hold your skirt up when you’re walking up stairs or if you’re in a rush to get somewhere is great.
You have the flowy length of the maxi skirt but with the ease of wearing a normal length skirt. It also helps break up the look to allow you to look a little taller. (great for us short girls)
This dress also came with a very skinny brown studded belt. As a personal rule, I almost never wear the belts that come with dresses/shorts/skirts/and the occasional top, instead I always wear a better structured, higher quality belt. This belt is by Anthopologie. I purchased this from The Nebula Shop .
Here’s the dress without the jacket on.
Here’s what I’m wearing:
- Henry Jones Brown Outback Fedora (Grenadier from Goorin Bros)
- Lace Hi-Lo Dress (Mossimo)
- Denim Jacket (H&M)
- Cowboy Boots (Mossimo)
- Oversized Dual Tone Watch (Michael Kors)
- Ladybug Pendant Necklace (Tiffany & Co)
- Leather Belt (Anthropologie, Purchased from The Nebula Shop)

You are certainly a Southern princess here. The dress is beautiful, and those cowboy boots are also lovely. The jean jacket is very nice along with the cowboy hat. This is most certainly a cute outfit, and you look amazing.
