Floaty fabrics can turn seemingly dull colours into fun ones! Especially if there’s a cute pattern thrown in the mix 🙂 Keep reading to see more photos of this outfit and shopping ideas inspired by this look!
In this outfit I’m wearing:
- Beige batwing chiffon buttonup (TJMaxx)
- Turkish Coin Necklace (F21)
- Leather Harness Belt (BCBG)
- Polka Dotted Pleated Skirt (F21)
- Fringe Ankleboots (Mossimo)
- Dual tone oversized watch (Michael Kors)
I’m pretty proud of this outfit as it didn’t cost a ton all put together. Even more excited that I found all of these pieces all at different times and loved that they paired so well. This top caught my eye because of the soft flow-y material and the oversized bat-wing sleeves that stop at a cute 3/4 length. Being so plain, it goes well with a lot of things 🙂
It was a double win when I noticed that the polka dots on this skirt are the same material and shade of beige as my shirt! They were meant to be together 😉 (It got a little windy haha)
As always I find a way to sneak in my harness belt into outfits. I feel like I need to get a few more in different colours since I’m so fond of how this one pulls together most of my looks. My harness belt is definitely ‘me’ hehe.
I’ve worn this look a few times already and I absolutely love it. It’s fun, flirty, cute, and can be worn anywhere whether its going to work, running errands, going on a date, hanging out with the girls etc.
And of course a pair of ankle boots had to be thrown into the look. These were a great find. A year and a half ago, I was looking for some comfortable ankle boots to wear to work every day that would spice up my outfits but at the same time weren’t too loud. I found these during the fall, but their height works well with a lot of spring outfits and the fringe carries it well into warmer weather looks.
A lot of times we have these moments where we feel like we have nothing to wear. Trust me, I have them all the time. But sometimes, all you have to do is stare at your closet for a few and find ways to mix and match things that maybe you’ve owned for a while and haven’t worn in quite some time. Find ways to make old pieces new and when shopping, find new pieces that will work with ones you already own. Its a great way to stretch your closet without stretching your budget 🙂
Below are some shopping ideas inspired by this outfit. What are your long time loves in your closet?
