Ok before anyone gets excited, I did not get a brand new car… BUT I’d like to give a huuuge special thanks to Chrysler and Coyne PR for extending an opportunity to me to test drive the newly designed Chrysler 200 before it hits dealerships this year! Keep reading to check out some photos and to learn more about the car!
Despite being extremely devoted to my ‘minitruck’, I still find myself ‘shopping’ for cars out of fear that the day will come when mini-truck will go to car heaven (knock on wood that it doesn’t happen too soon), so naturally I was excited when I got an e-mail asking if I wanted to check out the new Chrysler 200. Who was I to give up an opportunity to get first dibs on taking a new car out for a spin?!
I definitely have to say, Chrysler, you’ve made a lot of beautiful improvements on the new 200, with tons of really awesome new features!
The 200’s interior has definitely been upgraded to exude a more luxury feel. The comfort touch leather, easy to navigate features, fully integrated steering wheel, informative dashboard interface and the 8 inch touch screen U-connect screen was so fun! Not to mention the way improved voice recognition of the U-connect.
For a mid-sized car, there’s plenty of room for both the driver / front passenger as well as the rear seat passengers. The heated and cooled seats are also great 🙂
I always get a touch bit nervous before test drives, but the reps from Chrysler were super fun and made it a no-pressure, entertaining experience. The Chrysler 200 felt effortless, had surprising peppiness when I gave it a little extra gas and what I was most impressed about was how quiet the interior was despite the v6 engine and all the exterior noises in the area. Definitely super comfortable! (thankfully the seats were fully adjustable to accommodate even my little legs)
Here’s a view from the driver-seat. All of the controls within the car are easily accessible without having to reach out for anything and if you’re a more cautious driver that doesn’t like to take their hands off the wheel when in motion, there’s a button on the left hand side of the steering wheel that will allow you to activate the voice control and simply tell U-Connect what it is that you need.
The Chrysler 200 starts at $21,795 MSRP with 283 HP and 31 HWY MPG. To read more specifics about this car, check out the Chrysler 200’s official page HERE
Again, big thank-yous and big hugs to the Chrysler Group, the reps traveling around the country showcasing the 200 and Coyne PR for reaching out to me and giving me an awesome opportunity to learn, drive and share!

2015 Chrysler 200 Interior
The interior of the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 has a “wow” factor. It’s a striking appearance, one of contemporary luxury but with graceful movement. Hand-sculpted, fluid shapes and clean, expressive surfaces are found throughout the cabin. The fluid shapes carry from the instrument panel around to the door panels. The available open-pore wood trim was designed to visually “hold” the instrument panel in place.
The well-crafted components in the interior of the 2015 200 deliver world-class levels of fit and finish for drivers and passengers alike. Furniture-like mechanisms, such as the sliding cup holders in the innovative center console are sturdy and operate smoothly.
The centerpiece of the new 200’s interior is the innovative center console. The contemporary design is pleasing to look at while offering clever functionality that is enabled by full electronic gear shifting with a rotary shift knob. This leading-edge technology doesn’t need the mechanical linkage of traditional shifters that take up space in the center of the vehicle, enabling Chrysler designers to fully utilize the space. A pass-through storage area at the front of the console is accessible by both the driver and front-seat passenger. A thoughtful opening at the rear of the pass-through storage area allows for wires and cables to directly connect to the power supply and media center located in the center console.
