Wearing menswear inspired pieces can be girly with the right elements 🙂 Keep reading to check out more photos of this outfit, my new purple locks and shopping ideas inspired by this ‘gentlemanly’ look! Also… HAPPY MONDAY DARLINGS!
As much as I love wearing skirts and dresses, occasionally I find myself in a pants, and in this case, jeans kinda mood. Being short, unless my jeans are hemmed, I usually appear much shorter thanks to unwanted bunching towards the ankles due to extra fabric… thankfully the weather is warm enough that my ankles don’t get chilly… Cuffed pants all the way!!!!!
I’ve got several suspenders in my belt drawer and it was only fitting that I threw a pair on for this look. The brogues and the fedora tied in perfectly (although I’m starting to realize its time to retire this black fedora, its so hard to let go).
The perfect addition this collared button-up was a silk scarf. Neat fact, I have 3 drawers full of silk scarves and for the past 7-8 years I only ever wear them as large bows in place of a tie to dress up masculine outfits haha… its also how the ‘bowties’ part came about in my blog name 😉
Here’s everything I’m wearing in this outfit:
- Black Felt Fedora (H&M)
- Light Blue Striped Button-up Dress shirt (H&M)
- Suspenders (American Apparel)
- Silk Scarf (Gifted to me)
- Indigo Blue Skinny Jeans (F21)
- Black and Aqua Brogues (Mossimo)
- Dual-tone Oversized Watch (Michael Kors)
While there’s nothing wrong with super $$$ outfits, you don’t have to spend tons of money to look put together 😉 Keep reading to check out some shopping ideas inspired by this look! How do you like to incorporate menswear ideas into your outfits?
