Over the weekend I paired my rediscovered army green utility jacket and finally figured out a way to wear it to fit correctly (I purchased this jacket years ago off a sale rack and never wore it because it was just a size too big) Keep reading to see more photos of this outfit and shopping ideas inspired by it!
So when I first found this jacket I fell in love with it… so much that I picked it despite it being a size too big. I figured, I would find a way to make it work. Years later I finally did! This outfit is pretty simple really. Here’s what I’m wearing:
- Utility Jacket (Old Navy)
- White T-Shirt (Mossimo)
- Turkish Coin Necklace (F21)
- Harness Belt (BCBG)
- Pink and Navy spotted Circle Skirt (F21)
- Black Tutu Skirt (American Apparel)
- Watch (Michael Kors)
- Converse Sneakers
I always wear my harness belt with everything so it was only a matter of time that I would figure out it would help give the illusion of a perfect fit with this jacket. Only downside is taking off the jacket while out and about is kind of a pain, luckily the weather was just right to keep the jacket on all day.
I’ve been obsessed with fluffy and circle skirts lately. In my Brands and Bloggers outfit, I even paired this American Apparel Tutu under the skirt to give it a fuller effect. Throwing it under this circle skirt felt and looked natural to the outfit. Obligatory twirl of course!
During my NYC trip, I paired this jacket and shirt combo with a pair of skinny jeans and combat boots since it wasn’t THAT warm out and there was a bit of rain on Saturday but for the Sam Adams event, this past week, the skirt was just the perfect match for the spring temps.
My little man made a deal with me towards the end of shooting this outfit… we shook paws on him joining in for his fashion shot.
Here we are modeling our matching harnesses haha (Don’t worry pug lovers! Presley will have a post for Pug Life on Bowties and Caviar soon!)
