This spring I was in search of a new denim jacket (since I cut the sleeves off my old one last year because I thought I’d get more use out of it as a vest). Keep reading to learn more about this jacket and some similar pieces to recreate this look 🙂
Instead of buying a traditional denim jacket (although I’m sure I’ll be buying one in the near future still), I opted for something a little different. I knew I wanted something with a hood, since spring weather in the DC area means rainy days are inevitable, so I scooped up this denim trench. Its a little strange that its a ‘one size fits all’ jacket. I would imagine that on anyone taller than me (I’m only 5’1″) the sleeves would run a little short and the waist wouldn’t sit in the right place, but I can see if worn un-tied, it might work, especially as a 3/4 sleeved jacket, I suppose.
Paired with this jacket I wore a plain white tee, burgendy cuffed skinny trousers and fringed suede ankleboots. I know this purse isn’t the same shade of tan as my boots, but it was perfect to take along with me while I was out running my errands for the day. I picked up this fringe messenger in an attempt to add more colour to my mostly black leather collection of purses. It would make for a perfect festival purse, and should pair well with most of my spring and upcoming summer outfits.
As always, I’ve put together a collage of similar pieces that can be purchased to create a similar look to this one here 🙂 What are your usual errand running go-to’s?
