Finally! The weather is starting to feel more like spring and less like the endless winter we’ve been having. The other weekend, Presley had quite the outing. A long walk through Old Town and a fun adventure at the Pet Expo! Keep reading to see more photos! (Advanced apology for some of the blurry photos, he’s a jittery little guy!)
Presley loves walks. It doesn’t matter where we’re going, what the weather is like (rainy, snowy, hot, sunny, cloudy, etc) or who we’re with, he’s always excited to stretch his legs out and put his paws to work! Our weekend started off with a long walk by the Waterfront.
It was a beautiful day. Not hot, but warm enough to walk around with a light sweater on. Later that day, Presley met a cute lady pug named Nani. Needless to say his heart went racing and after their meeting was over, he cried because he didn’t want his day with her to end. We exchanged contact info with her owner so there will be future pug park playdates 🙂 Unfortunately, we don’t have any pictures of their meeting. I’ll be sure to take photos during their next playdate!
Now, onto day 2’s photos!
That Sunday, my good friend Albena and I went to the Pet Expo at Dulles Expo Center with our dogs, Presley and Scarlett (O’hara). It was quite the day. Here are some photos of Presley’s adventure at the Expo!
So many furbabies! Presley was overwhelmed with excitement. He’s quite the social butterfly!
Brace yourselves, there’s quite a few photos from the Expo!
Pres met several pugs at the expo. He might have been the largest of the bunch. These two little puppies were absolutely adorable. Their owner was thrilled about taking his newly adopted babies to their first social event!
There were dogs of all coat colours/lengths and sizes!
Presley was so thrilled that lots of pups were approaching him for nosy kisses and hello sniffs!
He can be a little silly sometimes.
Of course squishy faces gotta stick together!
There were over a hundred vendors at the Expo. Many selling organic pet products and baked goods!
Some dogs were curious and very interested to meet as many new friends as possible.
This sweetheart quickly fell in love with Pres. She walked right over to him, started kissing his smushy face and ears and started following Pres around.
She was for adoption. Super sweet, affectionate and playful! Too bad we couldn’t bring her home 🙂
Several pets were brought to the Expo by different rescues as well as foster parents in hopes that someone will want to give these pups a forever home. They were all so wonderful, I’m sure they’ll all, if they haven’t already, find warm loving homes with happy families.
Presley has quite the collection of pitbull friends. It wasnt surprising that he would keep bumping into this cutie and touching noses with her everytime we passed by.
This is Harley, the Akita that I absolutely fell for. Such a well-mannered dog. He is currently in foster care and was wearing an ‘Adopt Me’ bandana. Weighing almost as much as I do, there’s no way we could have a dog as big as Harley in our condo but if we could, I would have filled out the adoption papers right then and there. I think Presley felt the same way 😉
More smushy wrinkle-faces!
This encounter was too funny. Presley walked over and didn’t realize he was standing next to a larger dog… until he leaned down to sniff Pres. The only time Presley was caught off guard. After his quick scare he of course gave some nosey kisses and was back on his way to exploring the Expo.
There were even puppies that were Presley-sized!
And plenty of pugs of course!
Everyone’s dogs were super sweet and thankfully there weren’t any scuffles.
Some dogs even showed up with chalk colour in their fur!
And that concludes Presley’s first springtime weekend!
xoxo
