Its that time of year where the leaves are falling, the holidays are around the corner and the air is crisp… Crisp and drying.
Now while extreme moisturizing soaps and loads of creams will probably be your best tools for combating the on-coming dry skin (or maybe you’re already suffering from it, I know I am), it always helps to exfoliate first to slough off all the dry skin cells in order to get to the layers that could use the extra boost of moisture.
The Swedish Dream Sea Salt Soap was such an unexpected yet amazing find, but a few things before we dive into the words ‘so go out and buy a bar’.
First off, despite the name, its actually a US made product. Not that this totally makes a difference in why you should or shouldn’t buy it, it’s not an imported product so it wont break the bank. I found mine for just under $7!
Second, its a mineral-rich sea salt soap. Its pretty natural and for the most part, unscented, which I really like. While fragrant soap is always nice, there is a clean feeling to not having a scent coating your skin when you step out of the shower.
Third… this is NOT a moisturizing soap. In fact, it will not do anything for you as far as moisture is concerned. It is a salt based soap and is simply a cleansing soap with a natural exfoliant. Scrub away and after showering, apply your favourite moisturizer and you’ll be good to go!
I used up my bar till the very end and will definitely be buying another. So if you’re looking for a great product to scrub away all the dry dead skin cells and start fresh, this might be what you’re looking for. It can be found at CB2’s website here.
Have you tried it? Or do you have any great soap/skincare suggestions you’d like to share? I’d definitely love to hear about them.
