A quick collection of the things I’m currently in love with.
Thanks to chillier weather, furry stoles and scarves are back in the accessories rotation. Last winter, one of my besties, Tasha (theglossier.com) and I went on one of our usual shopping trips and found a crazy deal on faux fur stoles and vests during end of season sale time. Sadly, we didn’t have much of winter left to parade around in them, but now that the crisp air is back, they’ve been out in full force!
I never leave home without my i-phone, quilted wallet, and watch… and of course! IT’S FALL!. It’s ‘boot weather’ now and these past few chilly days I’ve been living in my black frye boots (Tried and true! These aren’t the ones I’ve been wearing, unfortunately polyvore didn’t have an image of my Frye Adrienne’s).
Also, what’s fall without coats? On a shopping trip with my sister, I found the perfect autumn coat at h&m. It’s warm enough for chilly days/nights, light enough that it doesn’t weigh me down, stylish, the woolly body and leatherette sleeves give it both a dressy and edgy feel so it works well for both dress and casual settings, and the best part of all…it doesn’t break the bank! Being guilty of having a coat/jacket/cape addiction, I couldn’t pass it up.
Lastly, large totes are still in… they always will be. No matter how much I read about teeny-tiny crossbody purses being on everyone’s radar, there’s nothing more utilitarian than an oversized tote for your everyday needs. They work for carrying all your everyday essentials like your keys, wallet, phone, mini-makeup bag (or large in some cases) etc., but also extras that you may want to or need to carry along. In my bag, I usually carry a bottle of water, pair of gloves, roll up flats (sometimes, depending on the shoes I walk out of the house in), my planner, notepad, pens, and anything else that I might need for work…oh and of course, snacks.
